Odin. The start and foundation of our program. Odin was my first Giant and en excellent representative of the breed. Powerful, confident, loyal and protective of his family. A true Velcro dog and soft hearted cuddle buddy at his core. Able to impress with his strength and working ability his imposing appearance might intimidate one who doesn’t know him. Yet his calm demeanor and obedient nature assures your feeling of safety in his presence. Odin is a proven stud and has successfully sired 4 litters of pups. A legitimate working dog with a job and established bloodline.

Oona. Despite everything I ever learned about and grew to love about the Giant Schnauzer when I first got Odin, I was only ever reassured in my confidence and decision that I had made the right choice when I selected this breed. Oona is not only a beautiful and exceptional well mannered dog but she is also an impressive athletic specimen and thoroughly capable canine. Highly intelligent with a strong drive to please. Her doting and nurturing qualities have made her a great mother and she has produced 3 litters of healthy pups. Her maternal and protective instincts carry over into all aspects of her life as she patrols and monitors the whole property.

Why we match

Why we match.
Where one dog may lack the other dog picks up the slack.
Odin is large and confident, powerful and imposing.
Oona is compact and intelligent, athletic and capable.
Odin is loyal and steady at your side ready to take orders. Oona is calculated and problem solving assessing the situation and making decisions but ready to recall fast. Together they are formidable team and work in tandem. But what makes these dogs standout among other working dogs. What makes the special and different from other high drive K9’s is their ability to turn off. Yes, they can work with the best of them and perform at the top and highest level. But the Giant Schnauzer can serve as a versatile calm house companion. Both Odin and Oona are excellent examples of working dogs that can go hard when you are out working and relax all day when you are back home. Great with kids of all ages, other house pets and simply lounging around the house. These gentle giants do not require the excessive work and exercise one might expect with a shepherd or collie. These extremely smart, well rounded dogs can perform near any job on the farm or in the house at a high level and don’t require being an expert dog handler. Though not for a first time or novice owner, the Giant Schnauzer not the beast some other high drive dogs are.
